About Us
Meet Julie
I am a married mother of three children (four if you count my husband), and I have lived in Southeast Louisiana my entire life. I graduated valedictorian from Southeastern Louisiana University, then in 2004, I received my Juris Doctor as well as a BA in Civil Law from Louisiana State University. After law school, I began practicing law in Hammond, Louisiana, where I was a partner in a successful law firm and was able to practice many different types of law (including personal injury, insurance defense, and estate planning). It was during this time I discovered that my true calling is estate planning, elder law, special needs planning, and just about everything else that pertains to helping families protect what is most important to them.

Years of Dedication to Estate Planning and Elder Law
In 2012, I established the Law Firm of Julie R. Johnson to focus exclusively on providing the absolute best estate planning and legal services to each of my clients. In 2013, I became accredited by the Office of General Counsel/Department of Veterans’ Affairs to work on benefits cases involving U.S. veterans and their entitlement to the Aid and Attendance pension. In 2014, I became Board Certified in Estate Planning and Administration by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. I also completed the Medicaid Practice Systems program in Syracuse, New York, and developed a background in Medicaid rules and eligibility for long term care benefits.
